Nashik - Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2015

The Kumbh Mela is the most significant spiritual event for Hindus in India.  The Sinhasta Kumbh Mela is held once in 12 years in Nasik and Trimbakeshwar

The Kumbh Mela is celebrated depending upon the position of the stars and planets. In nasik the Kumbh mela is celebrated when Guru (Jupiter) and the Sun are in the zodiac sign Leo (Simha Rashi)


During the Kumbha Mela a dip ( bath ) in Godavari river has attained a great importance as it cleanse souls and leads to salvation. Thousands of Sadhus and holy men and millions of pilgrims take bath in the holy Godavari River. During the Kumbha Mela, Nashik City and Trimbakeshwar are in a fantastic festive mood. Millions of devotees and tourists visit Nasik - trimbakeshwar and enjoy spectacular events of kumbh mela.

The Kumbh mela to be held in Nasik – Trimbakeshwar in the year 2015 will commence on 14th july and will continue for a year, ending on 11th Augest 2016.
